Service Leadership Programs (SLP) are leadership and character-building programs hosted in a school or community agency and often sponsored by a Kiwanis club or another civic organization such as a chapter of JCI. Service Leadership Programs have existed since the first Key Club was founded in 1925. Since then, millions of students have been inspired to lead lives of service and significance through programs for all ages. – Kiwanis.org
Locally, our club is proud to sponsor the following SLPs:
π Last Thursday was truly inspiring as we welcomed Steven Solomon from Fellowship of Christian Athletes! π FCA's mission is to guide every coach and athlete toward a deeper connection with Jesus Christ and His church, fostering positive transformation worldwide through their influence. Steven has led numerous huddles across local schools and at NSU, impacting lives along the way. If you'd like to support this wonderful cause, you can donate through the link below. my.fca.org/?keyword=Steven%20Solomon
Also join us in celebrating Tiffany Woods, our March Kiwanian of the Month! Tiffany's outstanding leadership and dedication have driven numerous service projects, enriching the Kiwanis Club and our community. π We're incredibly grateful for her tireless commitment and generous contributions. Let's give Tiffany a round of applause for all she does! ππ
πApologies for the delay, but last week we had Alan Niette from the Natchitoches Parish Library visit our Kiwanis Club to discuss the incredible offerings available at the library. With something for everyone, regardless of age, the library is a true gem in our community. π Don't miss their upcoming Family Picnic in the Park event on April 2nd! Plus, we've included the children's April newsletter so you can explore all the exciting free activities and events they have planned. π³π
